Olivia was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. She attended UNC-Wilmington where she received her bachelor’s in special education and minor in Applied Behavior Analysis. She taught K-2 students at Root Elementary in Wake County, and K-5 students at Murrayville Elementary in New Hanover County. She took a break from teaching to be a stay-at-home mom and returned to work as the Lead Teacher in the Older Infant room at the Goddard School of Cornelius. She had her second child and is now excited to be back in the classroom at DUMCP. 

Olivia has been married to her husband, Shawn, for 5 years. They have two boys - James (3) and Chase (1). They also have a beloved Newfoundland/Poodle cross named Boo. Olivia enjoys spending time with her family, visiting Ocean Isle Beach, riding horses, and crafting. Fun Fact: Olivia is 6’3” and has 2 brothers over 7’ tall!
