Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner | February 17
You are warmly invited to join DUMC for our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner on Tuesday, February 17, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Enjoy a delicious meal of pancakes and traditional accompaniments as we gather for food, fellowship, and fun on the eve of Lent. A short devotion will be shared at 6:00 p.m. during dinner, followed by family friendly games and activities. All are welcome, including family, friends, and neighbors, as we come together to prepare our hearts for the season of Lent.
Ash Wednesday Services | February 18 - 12:15 & 7:00 p.m.
Join us on Wednesday, February 18, as we begin the Lenten season with a time of reflection, repentance, and renewal. Services will be held in the Sanctuary at 12:15 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. as we remember that “all come from dust, and to dust all return” (Ecclesiastes 3:20). Childcare for children four and under will be available during both services, and the 7:00 p.m. service will be live-streamed. Please note there will be no Midweek Dinner on February 18 as we gather for worship. All are welcome. We hope you will join us.
Chili cook off and BINGO FUN-raiser! | February 20
Calling all church and community members of every age. United Women in Faith invites you to a church wide Chili Cook Off and Bingo night on Friday, February 20 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Enter a chili for a chance to win prizes and bragging rights or come ready to eat, vote, and play Bingo. A $10 entry includes chili tasting, three voting tickets, and one Bingo board. Additional Bingo boards or voting tickets may be purchased for $5 each. Children under 3 are free. All proceeds support local agencies serving women, children, and youth in need. Teddy Bear Picnic | February 22
Children from birth through kindergarten and their families are invited to a sweet Teddy Bear Picnic on Sunday, February 22, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Bring a favorite stuffed animal and enjoy teddy bear themed snacks, stories about our stuffed animal friends, and a simple hands on craft. This cozy, family friendly event is a wonderful way to spend time together and make special memories. Click the button below to register. We can’t wait to picnic with you and your cuddly companions.
Middle School Youth Retreat | February 27 - March 1
Middle school students are invited to the annual Middle School Retreat, February 27 through March 1, at Camp Thunderbird. The cost is $175 per student. This retreat will also serve as the Confirmation Retreat for students in the 2026 Confirmation Class and is an important part of the Confirmation journey. Throughout the weekend, students will grow in faith, worship together, and explore what it means to belong to the church through engaging, age-appropriate sessions on prayer and the sacraments, along with time for fun, games, and building friendships. Please note that missing the retreat counts as two absences in the Confirmation schedule. Click the button below to register.
