Our Sunday morning classes are open to everyone—no registration needed. Whether you’re exploring your faith or looking for deeper connection, there’s a class for you.
Classes meet at various times on Sundays and offer space for meaningful conversation, spiritual growth, and fellowship.

A class of (mostly) couples and singles over 55 that focuses on video and discussion of the Old and New Testament using the Efird Bible Study Series and Adam Hamilton video studies. Class meets on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in Room 216/218.

A class of (mostly) senior adults that uses the International Bible Study series. This class is led by a teacher and
attracts those looking for solid Bible study, therefore becoming more intergenerational. This group meets on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in Room 222. -
This group of adults born primarily in the 60s & 70s focuses on living out DUMC's mission statement through shared fellowship, education, and service projects. We study a broad range of topics, including participating in churchwide studies, current events studies, Bible studies, and life application studies. Class facilitation is rotated among class members.

This group of individuals and couples, generally ages 45+, focuses on incorporating DUMC’s mission statement
into our daily lives using community and fellowship, overseas and local missions, and Bible and spiritual study.
This group meets in person at the Congregational Care House at 9:30 -10:30 a.m. -
The Navigators are a free thinking group focused on ideas and discussion pertaining to all matters of faith and spirituality. Diverse thinking and fresh perspectives are welcomed and encouraged. Our lively discussion is held every Sunday morning - 9:00 am via zoom

Logos Using a variety of formats such as contemporary and sacred writings or video, the curriculum varies around biblical, topical, and personal growth studies. A discussion-driven class for those looking to mature in their faith journey. First and third Sundays hybrid (in-person and online) in Room 209; second, fourth, and fifth Sundays, meets online via Zoom.
Spiritual Growth and Prayer Groups.

Intercessory prayer is prayer for others. An intercessor is one who takes the place of another or pleads another's case. One study Bible defines intercession as "holy, believing, persevering prayer whereby someone pleads with God on behalf of another or others who desperately need God's intervention." Prayer Shawl Ministry - The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets on the first Wednesday of each month from September through June, beginning at 10:15 a.m. in Room 213. This welcoming group is open to anyone who knits or crochets, as well as those who would like to learn. Each gathering includes a short devotion and a time to bless completed prayer shawls and baptism blankets. Prayer shawls are shared with those in need, and baptism blankets are given to babies at the time of their baptism. For more information, contact Diane Renner at 785.249.7867.

Thursdays from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. The Bible, fellowship, and friendship bring together this study group of intergenerational women who want to become more like Jesus. Contact Marsha Brodsky.

Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. - noon meet via Zoom.All ages are invited to join this group of women for Bible and spiritual study and growth. Group members work together to choose compelling curriculum. Contact Nancy Sinclair .
